ELF brushes

With nothing better to do on a wet ,cold ,rainy summers afternoon i decided to make a ELF order with nothing in particular in mind i ordered 4 brushes and some other bits and bobs ( That Il review soon).

from the core line i ordered
-Total face brush
-Blush angled brush
-Foundation brush
Studio line
-Their well known powder brush.

Starting with the core line the total face brush is excellent for bronzer the bristles are extremely soft and is quick and easy to gild on the prouduct .Don't think this is the best brush for blush just because there are better products out there which aren't so big.The brush is also great for powder.

next up is the angled blush brush again soft bristles ,sheds a small amount ,but nothing worth worrying about as the brushes are only £1.50.Iv found this works great for contouring and blends the product into your cheeks .Out of all of there brushes from the core line this is a must have for any make-up collection.
As you can see the total face brush is double the size
There is always one that lets the side down .Its the foundation brush .If you have never used a foundation brush to apply your foundation before and you have nothing to compair it to then i would give it ago ,if you use a foundation brush every day don't bother buying this one.

The brush is thin ,the bristles are hard and it doesn't blend well at all, however after all the negatives i will use this for concealer as its so thin it get in the nooks and crannies.

Better high street brushes which are excellent and defiantly brushes i will always continue to use are the boots own brand foundation brush ,top .(approx £6-£7) ,but my absolute favourite is marks and Spencer Autograph foundation brush ,bottom(approx£7-£9) defiantly try this one.

And finally we have the famous Elf studio line flat top powder brush .Smaller than expected iv only tried it out to apply translucent powder and works great with the product.I feel I'm repeating myself ,but the bristles are incredibly soft and is such great brush to work with .I have heard the brush also works well with liquid foundation so i will let you know how i get on with that ,overall i have nothing bad to say about the brush I'm just disappointed i hadn't bought it sooner.

The ELF ordering service is so quick i ordered on saterday afternoon and the parcel arrived on tuesday morning .Everyone probably knows that most products are £1.50 from the core line and £3-£3.50 on the studio and mineral line .Before making an order i suggest reading other peoples reviews and reccomendations .

Let me know if you have any brush recommendations also let me know what else you would like me to ramble on about.

MAC sample service.

Firstly sorry I haven't posted in a while have been a very busy bee lately .
I just wanted to quickly tell you about MAC sample service which i discovered recently.

I wanted to try their face and body foundation as I have heard so many great reviews about it .Its just so difficult to know which shade you are from the pictures on the website.

In this situation you would go in to your MAC store or counter and test them out ,but unfortunately i don't live near either of these.
I went onto the MAC website and e-mailed one of the make up artists to see if they could sent me samples of c2 and c3 and to my surprise they are able to send 2 samples if you live 20 miles or more from a store.

The samples arrive in 5-10 days .
As you can see the sample are only small yet there is enough product to try out at lest twice on your face.
In the e-mail from the make-up artist enquiry there is a short survey to complete which entitles you to free delivery on you next order.
Il post my review on the face an body foundation soon .
Free samples and free delivery you can go wrong .let me know of any other great services like this one.

I'm Not to sure.

Its blue, very blue ,but I'm not to sure if its the right blue.

Most People know that Barry M have a wide range of nail paint in a wide variety of colours.

I wanted a light blue which wasn't too light so i purchased 306 pale blue .

I really love the colour and applies really well 1-2 coats is all you need its just very overpowering and slightly tacky looking with long nails I need your opinion.

I think this colour is best suited with shorter nails for a quirky chic look.

Id like to know what you think and do you have any recommendations for a lighter shade of blue possible any Essie shades.

overall a really great product and consistence to work with and looks great with a high gloss top coat.

Superdrug MUA range.

So everything is a pound right its hard to believe.

I wanted to know if the products are as good as the price so i bought 3 eye shadows to start off with .

Surprisingly there was alot of colour choice in Matt and pearl finishes ,but i went for good old neutral shades.

From left to right : shade 17 , shade 11, shade 10

Shade 17 : This Matt shade was very pigmented, however was very similar to my skin tone and totally blended in ,so i just use it as a eyelid base colour which holds liquid eyeliner really well.

shade 10: extremely pigmented and an amazing metallic dark blue if you are willing to spend some time on the application. The down side, their are larger glitter particles in the product which fall all around the eye area once the product is applied , you can brush the excess away, but does leave blue streak marks on the skin.

shade 11 :looks really dark in the pan , again extremely metallic and shimmery once applied and ends up a light golden brown . looks great on the eye and there is no excess powder like shade shade 10

packaging :Better than i expected for £1,its sturdy and doesn't seem like it will break in a hurry.

overall top 5 points of the eyeshadow range;

+Amazing value.

+very pigmented.

+Great if you are just starting out with make up.

+Swatch each product carefully in the store before you buy(watch out for the loose power particles).

+Only available in UK superdrug stores.

Please leave a comment and let me know if you have any other MUA product recommendations.

You can never have enough lipgloss.

I recently purchased a set of 4 mini Lancome juicy tubes, rose edition.Each one has a different scent which are ;
Toffee (gold tube)
Frasie(red tube)
lychee(mid pink tube)
Marshmallow electro (light pink tube)

I have never tried any Lancome products before so i thought i would start off with something i knew i would use and a product i could work with.

Starting with initial appearance of the product the colours looked really pigmented ,i thought the colour in the tube will be the same once applied,i couldn't be more wrong however I'm now thinking this is for the better .
Starting with the gold tube on the left i was pleasantly surprised it leaves a slight Golden sheen over the lips .

This gloss is perfect for a golden bronzed look as its not too overpowering as expected. So the colour is great ,but the taste and smell I'm not so keen on .Its scented like toffee and reminds me of Starbucks caramel frappuccino its so sweet which really puts me off using it.

Next up is the raspberry red colour fraise. The colour is great as its not too bright.

The scent is raspberry/strawberry and applies really well over the top of my marks and Spencer lip balm .This look great just on its own .

Next is the medium pink tube which isn't the best .It has great shine ,but has tiny glitter particles which makes the product really thick and gloppy :(

Great shade of pink just too much glitter.

And finally the lightest pink is lovely its light, fresh ,natural looking with a great shine what more could you ask for .

Overall top 5 point on the Lancome juicy tubes.

+Great colours once applied

+stay on well

+slightly sticky

+sweet tasting and very scented

+high end product so has a larger price tag (approximately £20)

I have mixed views with the products i wouldn't say i would re-purchase as their are other less expensive items on the marked that give the same effect, but i am going to use these ones up .

let me know if you have any lip gloss recommendations.

Mosturising body and lip prouducts.

My mum has always taught me the key to healthy looking skin is to moisturise every day head to toe ..but sometimes you just can be bothered .
Shopping with my mum we ventured into the beauty section if you like of marks and Spencer,I was amazed. I wanted a body moisturiser that was actually moisturising ,not greasy and something that didn't leave your clothes sticking to you after application, who would of thought this all lies in the marks and Spencer body butter.

These body butters smell so amazing you really do want to eat them ,it also really encourages you to use them every day.If you don't like strong, highly scented products then these are NOT for you .

originally i bought lemon as you can see nearly all gone ,but this is over about 4 months of use every day so not bad at all.

Being the obsessive cosmetic person I am I them when back and bought passion fruit and shea nut butter both of these are my new favourites .

In the same range I also bought a lip balm in passion fruit and again I only have good things to say about it . I use it as a base before lipstick and lip gloss and really helps the product to stay on .
Overall my 5 key points of the body butters
+ smells incredible

+Non greasy

+great for pre fake tan moisturising

+low cost and long lasting ( I know that's 2 points)

+Only negative is if you don't use the product for a while you need to shake it before use.

Tell me if you have any other suggestions for me to try.
